Sweet Treats for Valentine’s Day

We all say Happy Valentine’s Day, but do we know it’s all about? Many say it is a Hallmark occasion to give out cards and candy. What do think? Valentine’s Day is really a Western Christian feast day to honor Saint Valentine. This is day for love and affection.

With Valentine’s Day on February 14th, Mila’s has been busy creating desserts to please everyone. Check out all the selections for the perfect Valentine’s Day. I decided to gather all of Mila’s Valentine’s options so that you can see them in one spot, instead of individual social media posts.

Who loves chocolate?? Yes!! Who thought of chocolate on a stick? It is a great concept for chocolate perfection on a stick. This is a great gift for friends, kids, neighbors and teachers. Most importantly, treat yourself to this dessert. Why not? Why yes!!!! These chocolate cake pops are available while supplies last. My kids love them although there isn’t a photo to prove it.

Another option is a Cream Cheese Almond Cookie kit which includes 12 cookies, 4 pastry bags and yummy toppings. This is a fun and creative way to engage kids and adults. This is also a way to get some kids off of electronic. Pre-orders are necessary. Sometimes, we have a few extra kits in the store.

Let’s have some fun, get creative and learn to decorate cupcakes and cookies. The best part of the event is that you go home with a masterpiece of what you decorated to share with loved ones or just yourself. Come learn a few decorating skills that you can always do later on your own. Sign up is required by calling 262-242-1404 ext 1. Sign up with friends and kids so that we have fun together. Cost is $35 per person.

If you like, just enjoy a hand decorated cookie. We have them available-while supplies last. Say it with Mila’s!!

Our final creation is a selection of Valentine’s Day Trays. There are many ways to express your feelings on this day, depending on your stage of life. We offer 3 selections for your perfect way to #sayitwithmilas.

Thank you for your business! We appreciate it! We love our customers.

New Year's Resolution-Cardio2Core

This week’s blog highlights Corley Davis who had a dream to start a fitness gym and did with lots of sweat and tears. What started as thought on paper turned into a reality for Corley. Congratulations girl!!! Way to go!! Thanks for making Mila’s part of your special grand opening with logo cookies. #sayitwithmilas

Cardio2Core is group session-based workouts located in the North Shore Dance Studio in Mequon. 2 different styles of classes are available. The first, a high-intensity cardio and strength-based option. The second, a sweaty, vibey, strength-based yoga/pilates offering.

It is her goal that everyone leaves the workouts feeling better and stronger than when they walked in! The style and effectiveness of the workouts along with the community of participants is unmatched in our area! Offered Monday, Wednesday and Fridays at 9:15am, participants can be sure they are signing up for the Best Workout Ever!

Corley comes to the bakery with her kids to say hi and to get a Mila's cookie!. Conveniently located in Thiensville, it is a quick and easy stop for the perfect sweet tooth craving!

It has been a labor of love to get to this point, and Mila’s was an easy choice to help make the Grand Opening a success! I knew I wanted to feature my logo in a special and unique way, and Mila’s had exactly what I was looking for! Their custom cookies were not only the coolest element of “swag” and perfectly done, but also delicious! They were a big hit amongst all participants and a great way to kick off Cardio2Core! www.cardio2core.com

Blog Highlights of 2022

One year ago, Mila’s made a New Year’s Resolution to start a weekly blog highlighting customers, events and milestone. We probably thought about writing a blog for the last 2 years, but were hesitant for various reasons.

Thoughts raced through my mind. Who is going to read this blog? What do I write about? What if I misspell a word? Am I good enough to write something interesting to share? Why should I write a blog?

On January 1, 2022, Mila’s introduced a weekly blog which has been interesting. With all the social media including blogging, people enjoy reading, and seeing what’s going on with others. Our first blog was about a 90 year-old man celebrating his birthday. The blog captured a moment which became a memory. Relatives in other states were able to read and enjoy the blog.

2022 has flown by with Mila’s weekly blogs. My goal is to continue the blog and perhaps introduce 2 per week. Also, Mila’s will offer at least 1 themed decorating workshop per month. Check out the website for more details. What’s your New Year’s Resolution or hesitation to overcome?

Mila’s can’t select a favorite blog because they are so special and meaningful, but we can showcase some from the past year!

Happy New Year from Mila’s and wishing you all the best in 2023.

You can always #sayitwithmilas.

Anna

Congrats to the Kettle Moraine Lutheran Jr Chargers

Today’s blog features the KML JR Chargers!! Congrats to a great season!!

“Thank you so much for the amazing cookies for the Kettle Moraine Lutheran Jr. Chargers Football Team. They were a big hit! Thank you for your wonderful service!!” Shelley Zanon

Thanks for the kind words!! Brainstorming cookie ideas is always fun, but when we get to see the faces of these kids, it’s just very satisfying and rewarding. An order is just a paper yet seeing these happy faces, brings the paper to life!! Shelley, you made our day with these photos!

Being on a team sport or in a club is very important for development, leadership, and sportsmanship. I’m sure all these KML kids worked very hard this season and their parents must be proud.

Hats of to you all!!

Say it with Mila’s!

Thanks again, Anna

BIRTHDAYS ARE FUN FOR KIDS

Another year has flown by and this year my kids were after the Super Mario theme. My cousin, Annie suggested that we go with Mila’s for their cakes this year and boy did they not disappoint. My daughter wanted Princess Peach (marble cake with chocolate raspberry filling) and my son, Super Mario (chocolate with mint filling). The cake presentation was on point with how delicious the cake tasted. Mila’s did a wonderful job and were extremely easy and relaxing to work with. If you haven’t stopped in to see them for a while, I highly suggest you do. Their cakes are delicious among their other goodies.

Thanks for the kind words about Mila’s!! Birthdays are fun for kids with theme parties, cakes, presents, and friends. Kids should enjoy this time while parents should help their kids celebrate this occasion. Kids look forward to birthdays while adults want to count backwards to be younger:)

Whatever the case maybe, Mila’s is always here for every milesone for all to treasure. Keep us in mind for your next event.

Say it with Mila’s.

Thanks,

Anna

Good Luck to Sage- Miss Teen Wisconsin USA

Today’s blog features desserts for a surprise send off party for Sage Gundelly, Miss Wisconsin Teen USA 2022. She will head off to compete at Nationals to represent Wisconsin.

Mila’s European Bakery s very touched to make a special cake, cupcakes, and personalized crown cookies for Sage!!

When Sage’s father called to place the order, he we was very detailed and specific. He sent photos and even a color chart to be exact. The sash on the cake needed to be similar to the sash Sage wore and each cookie had to have a girl’s name on it so that they would feel part of the special send of party. This attention to detail really demonstrated his love for Sage in creating the perfect dessert. This had to be PERFECT for Sage!! We all understood the importance of the order.

When competition was tough, Sage didn’t give up, but persevered to win the title of Miss Teen Wisconsin USA 2022. Now she is off without her parents or friends to Nationals for more competition. What an amazing and motivational young lady with such a bright future. She a beautiful, talented, and hard-working teen.

Thank you for the opportunity to share this memorable event with you and your family.

We wish Sage all the best with her competition journey to Nationals. Keep us posted! We are looking forward to making desserts for Sage as a National Teen winner!!

Say it with Mila’s —Best Regards, Anna

“Kids loved their cake, cookies and cupcakes. They were delicious. Great customer service for this special order at a reasonable price. Mila’s staff called to discuss the order and made sure our order turned out great. THANK YOU!!!”

Regards

Mahesh

Cheers to love!!! Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Reige!!

This blog highlights a beautiful couple that tied the knot this weekend in Door County among family and friends.

Kayla and Scott share many interests such as the love for hiking, running, and their dog. Most importantly, they agree that each one brings out the best in the other.

Delighted and grateful, Kayla explained how “Mila’s brought joy and delicious wedding cookies to each and every one of our guests on such an important day of our lives. We were beyond thrilled with these delectable little cookies and the beautiful decoration they had paying homage to our wedding day. Thank you so much Mila’s! We love you!!”

I was honored to attend this beautiful wedding day and see Mila’s wedding cookies being shared with all the guests. I will always remember this special day! Brainstorming on the perfect wedding cookie and design was memorable and extremely exciting. With the assistance of both Kayla and Scott, the cookie creation was developed. They wanted the perfect cookie to share with their guests as they headed home after the reception. Each cookie had a personal message: “Thank you for coming! Love Scott and Kayla.” Everything was personalized with love like the beautiful smiles from the bride and groom holding up Mila’s cookies.

Thank you for making Mila’s part of this lifetime memory for all of us! Cheers to love and forever years!!

With love,

Say it with Mila’s!!

Turning one is so fun for Annie!

According to Maryliz,”Our sweet little Annie turned 1 on March 25th!

Annie was spoiled with a beautiful rainbow cake from Mila’s Bakery in Thiensville. Thank you Anna & everyone at Mila’s for making this girl’s first birthday party so special 💜,”

Mila’s loves making 1st birthday cakes because it’s a big milestone and now birthday parties begin. Parents do not have to count in weeks or months anymore because counting begins in years. Younger birthday years are celebrated with family and as the kids get older, the cakes are for birthday parties with friends. Mila‘s is here for all stages of birthday memories.

Mila’s s is very happy to have made this wonderful rainbow cake for Annie. We hope to be spending and celebrating many more years together with Annie.

Her older sister, Amelia, in the last photo gives the cake a thumbs up.

There you have it, thumbs up to Mila’s European Bakery for a wonderful cake❤️

May kids always feel that birthdays are full of rainbows and fluffy clouds❤️❤️❤️🌈🌈🌈🌈☁️☁️☁️☁️

I love this photo!! This is Amelia, Annie’s older sister, who gives a Mila’s a thumbs up👍 Kids have no buffer and say it like it is. Thanks Amelia❤️

We hope you enjoy reading these blogs as much as we enjoy sharing them with you❤️❤️

Lights, Camera and Action!! 3-2-1- it's showtime!!

Today's blog highlights the amazing Homestead High School's production of Cinderella. It takes numerous hours of rehearsal time, commitment and love for the arts to put on on a musical. From actors, to stage crew, to pit orchestra to much much more, a theater family is formed with one goal of creating the best HHS musical. Mila’s has been a proud supporter of the HHS Drama Club for many years with logo image cookies. Lasting memories were formed and Mila’s contributed to this special musical. Thanks for allowing Mila’s to be a part of this Winter 2022 Musical.

Mila’s Cream Cheese Almond Cookies are always the best!

According to Julie Willis, a HHS Drama Club Parent, “Mila’s European Bakery stepped up with another amazing donation for this year’s musical. They made the most delicious cookies to sell in the lobby. They were beautiful and expertly decorated for Cinderella. Generous donors like Mila’s help support and keep our Homestead drama department able to do wonderful productions.”
